I interviewed for a Software Engineer role where the later rounds were more heavily technical and panel-like, and the difficulty landed in the average-to-difficult range.

HR / introductory screen — brief “get to know you” conversation plus company context.
Online test or technical assessment — a written or online evaluation meant to gauge fundamentals.
Technical interview (engineering leadership) — conversation with senior engineers or hiring manager, often paired with questions from product/business interviewers.
HR round (when applicable) — a final discussion to tie together fit and alignment. Outcome: No offer; even when the process was described as structured, clearing the core technical/panel rounds was the sticking point.
