I went through a fairly smooth, entry-to-mid level sequence—short recruiter/HR conversations followed by one or two practical technical rounds, usually with decisions within about a week.

Recruiter screen — a brief call to confirm my background, role expectations, and motivations.
Online assessment/OA (sometimes) — a HackerRank-style test covering DSA/Java and even some finance-related math.
Technical interview (1–2 rounds) — focused on fundamentals (e.g., Java/Python/OOPs, data structures) and light-to-moderate DSA; at times I also discussed real projects and trade-offs.
HR / follow-up (sometimes) — a structured conversation about role fit, expectations, and logistics.

Outcome: I didn’t always receive an offer, but most interviews felt friendly
