I had a very difficult interview experience for a London-based Software Engineer role over a short timeline, and the main issue was the interviewer’s conduct.

Onsite / interview with an interviewer — I was repeatedly cut off and asked questions back-to-back before I could finish my answers; the interviewer seemed uninterested in hearing my concerns and made inappropriate comments that steered the conversation away from the role. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and my takeaway was that interview-day professionalism can strongly impact how the process feels, regardless of preparation.
