Boeing Software Engineer interview experience

My interview process stood out because the software test wasn’t something I could just wing or look up.

The test was in a pen-and-paper format, and they basically implied the point was for me to practice pseudo-code rather than rely on cheating. That expectation made the whole thing feel more like thinking through the logic step-by-step than typing out a solution.

I didn’t end up with an offer, but the experience was still memorable because it matched the overall modern “post AI” framing they were going for. It forced me to slow down and actually reason through the problems on paper, and I could feel how different that was from typical coding screens.
