After applying online, I got a pretty relaxed recruiter phone call that ended up being the first “real” interview.

We went through my resume and they asked straightforward fit questions, then the recruiter wrapped up and I waited to hear next steps. A little later I received an email from the hiring manager and scheduled a Zoom meeting.

On the Zoom, I spoke with the hiring manager along with another manager. The conversation stayed mostly behavioral—questions like “tell me about yourself” and follow-ups about past experiences and how I’d handled different situations. In some spots, I leaned on STAR-style structure since that’s what they seemed to be expecting, and the panel took notes while we talked.
