I went through an extended AE interview sequence (often 6 weeks) that felt intensive and thorough, including cross-functional conversations and an “interview gauntlet” pace.

Recruiter coordination / expectations setting — I was briefed on what each stage required, with recruiter support keeping the schedule moving.
Hiring manager + leadership and cross-functional rounds — multiple interviews across different parts of the organization so the questions weren’t all the same.
Large onsite-style block — in one journey, I faced a gauntlet of six interviews in one day.
Case study and/or role-play panel — I completed a structured case work and participated in a role-play panel focused on how I would handle a real discovery and meeting flow.
