I had a recruiter-driven, phone-first path that felt informal or orientation-like, with little direct technical questioning.

Recruiter-arranged phone interview — The phone call was about 30 minutes and informal, and a job offer was made through the recruiter without requiring a separate face-to-face stage.
Brief phone + office ‘orientation’ interview — In another similar path, the phone step was just to gauge interest, and the office portion focused on benefits and orientation rather than technical evaluation. Outcome: I did not receive an offer in the first described experience; in the orientation-like path, the implication was closer to onboarding—takeaway is that some hiring steps are lightweight.
