Bechtel Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

United StatesPosted Feb 2013 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I pursued a Software Engineer opportunity with a fairly traditional recruiter-driven flow (often via fairs or phone), but it didn’t progress to an offer.

University/career-fair setup — After speaking at a booth, I secured the next-day interview and faced standard questions (strengths/weaknesses, team problem-solving), followed by an online application.
Phone/panel screening — I had a panel phone interview focused on my basic design understanding.
Campus interview (on-spot) — A live campus interview covered my past experience, education, skills, leadership, and interpersonal aptitude.
Resume-based recruiter chat — I was asked mostly about my education and work history after they reviewed my resume.
