Houston, TXPosted Nov 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I followed a career-fair-to-phone-to-in-person path for the Software Engineer role, with an overall average difficulty and an energetic, friendly atmosphere.

Career fair outreach — I met Bechtel reps at a career fair, which led to scheduling.
Phone interview (engineer manager + engineers) — I spoke with an engineering manager and additional engineers; we covered behavioral plus some technical questions.
In-person interview round(s) — I then traveled to the campus for an in-person interview involving multiple people (about five total across the day in one case), and the conversation leaned toward discussion of my fit. Outcome: I did not receive an offer, but the process felt enjoyable and engaging.
