I had an extended application follow-up that stalled, leaving me feeling uncertain despite being enthusiastic.

Recruiter follow-up requests — Over a month after applying, I got an email asking for additional information and later had a call where the recruiter sounded satisfied.
Follow-up attempts after silence — After time passed, I emailed and called again, but I still didn’t hear back, while other applications were rejected. Outcome: I did not receive an offer; the takeaway was how quickly momentum can fade after initial positive recruiter contact.
