San Diego, CAPosted Jan 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I experienced a generally professional, organized Software Engineer hiring flow that took about a month, with recruiter-led scheduling and clear step progression.

Recruiter screening + hiring manager/team progression — The recruiter reviewed my resume and did an initial screening; after that I moved through interviews with the hiring manager and team members, in a process that lasted roughly one month.
Fully transparent multi-step process — I went through a well-defined series of stages where each step was clearly outlined; communication was consistent and timely, which made expectations easy to follow. Outcome: No offer, but the takeaway was that the process itself was unusually professional and structured.
