Avalara Account Executive interview experience

But the next round soured quickly—this hiring manager ran the interview in a way that felt overly controlled and micromanaged, with the focus on questions and very little human engagement.

That same pattern showed up in the way the process dragged afterward. I was left waiting for responses for weeks, and when I followed up multiple times I didn’t get much back. Even though the interview day itself included professional people and some interesting discussion points, the lack of communication afterward was really frustrating, and it made the whole experience feel harder than it should’ve.
