Attentive Software Engineer interview experience

United StatesPosted Aug 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I spoke with the recruiter by phone, and then I had what felt like a typical easy coding question with an engineer.

I finished the problem, and the engineer was happy with my solution.

After that, I didn’t hear back. Even after I followed up, nothing came through. The engineer also hinted that management was messy when I asked about culture, which made the silence feel even more telling.

I didn’t get an offer, and the whole experience left me feeling like I’d been through the motions just to end up ghosted.
