My interview was short, informative, and generally promising, but it also left me a bit disappointed.

HR framed the culture in a warm, almost personal way, describing it like “family,” which sounded nice on the surface yet also felt like something that could go either way depending on how it’s practiced.

The conversation didn’t feel hostile or difficult—more like a friendly overview of what working there might be like. Still, that specific cultural pitch stuck with me, and I couldn’t fully shake the feeling that it might not translate cleanly into day-to-day reality.

In the end, the experience was upbeat, but the cultural messaging didn’t completely land for me.
