My interview process started with an HR phone screening call, followed by a zoom call with an SDR manager.

After that, I had to complete a case study that tested whether I could actually do the work and fit the role.

The experience felt oddly backhanded. Even though they seemed engaged enough in the moment, it didn’t feel like they were truly considering me for the job, and I left with the sense that the case study was more of a formality than an authentic evaluation.

I didn’t receive an offer, and the emotional tone of the process—interest on the surface, but not the feeling of being in the running—was the most memorable part.
