The AE interview I went through was fairly conversational, even though it still covered the core “fit” territory.

I expected questions like why I wanted sales and why I was interested in AlphaSense, and that’s exactly the kind of direction the hiring manager took.

The conversations also stayed high level—more about my experience and how I communicated than about deep, product-level interrogation. Overall it didn’t feel too difficult, and it helped that the hiring manager treated it like a real dialogue rather than a strict interrogation.
