My interview stretched into what felt like a lot of steps for a startup.

The pace wasn’t only about scheduling; it was about the amount of work they asked me to do to stand out.

The second round required me to put together a slide-based demo that was tied to research, and I had just two business days to prepare it. That created a lot of urgency and made the round feel high-stakes right away.

I didn’t receive an offer. Even so, the process was clear about what they expected: I was going to have to show how I think and present, not just talk about it. The time pressure was the biggest thing that threw me off.
