I did a HireVue-style pre-recorded interview first, and it was entirely in French except for one question that came in English.

The questions were classic HR-type prompts, so it was more about communication, motivation, and fit than deep technical problem solving. After the video screening, if selected, I would move on to a technical discussion with the hiring manager.

That first stage felt straightforward but a bit nerve-wracking because it was recorded—there’s no real-time back-and-forth. Still, the format was clear, and it gave me a chance to present myself the way I would in a normal HR conversation.
