Affirm Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Hard

Positive

CanadaPosted Jan 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview started with what felt like a rigid LeetCode-based setup, using their own dataset rather than a standard public question bank.

I ended up struggling with the second part of the question, and I didn’t make it far enough to reach the next round.

Even though it didn’t go well, the overall tone of the experience was still framed as positive. It was hard in the way that felt structured and tightly constrained, so once I slipped, it was hard to recover.

I didn’t get an offer. The part that stuck with me was how quickly the process moved once the second segment became difficult, and how little room there was to course-correct.
