San Francisco, CAPosted Sep 2023 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The process at Affirm involved multiple rounds across phone screens, technical assessments, and onsite interviews, and it aimed to evaluate skills, cultural fit, and overall experience.

I remember thinking it wasn’t the hardest process I’ve faced, but it still felt thorough.

Overall, it came across as a standard-but-serious engineering interview loop: technical checkpoints to validate coding ability and problem solving, then additional rounds to understand how I’d show up beyond just the code. I ended up with an offer, and I felt good about it because the interviews didn’t feel random—they looked coordinated around evaluating multiple aspects of the role.
