Affirm Software Engineer interview experience

The setup was that there were n players and m cards. I had to divide the cards among the players, figure out which player would end up with the highest number of cards, and determine the final winner.

It included concrete reasoning with a starting scenario where it was phrased for two players with 52 cards, and then I had to generalize the approach to n players and m cards. The interviewer treated it like a real problem you could reason through step by step, and that made it feel approachable despite the math behind the winner logic.
