The recruiter contact came after a GM indication, and the conversation centered heavily on my experience and education, but especially my immigration and visa status.

Since I didn’t have an H1B visa at the time, the recruiter tried exploring other options that might be acceptable.

Those alternatives didn’t get approved by their immigration area, so the process stalled despite the recruiter working to find a path forward. Difficulty was listed as average, but emotionally it felt less like interview performance and more like a constraint outside my control.

I didn’t reach an offer, and my main reflection was that the interview phase wasn’t the hard part—the immigration approval process was what ultimately determined whether I could move ahead.
