What the process looks like, and what Vertafore is really testing for.
Vertafore uses a relatively structured hiring funnel that starts with recruiter contact, then moves you into online assessments and technical interviews. Across reported steps, you can expect cognitive and personality components, plus technical evaluation that can include coding and system design style questions.
What the process tests most consistently is SQL, DevOps engineering (cloud and infrastructure), plus core programming concepts like Java, OOP, and quantitative reasoning. Interviewers also probe hiring manager fit and communication related to your technical work, with additional emphasis on data-driven decision making and stakeholder management, and there are explicit personality assessment and communication-skills topics in the question data.
