I came in expecting something more thoughtful, but the recruiter-stage meeting I had was oddly dry and transactional, like someone was just ticking boxes. There wasn’t much back-and-forth or emotional engagement, and I didn’t really feel like the interviewer was listening so much as running through a script. It left me with a pretty negative impression from the start.
As I processed the rest of what I’d heard about the role and the company, the overall feeling didn’t improve. The organization seemed to carry itself like it was highly confident about its approach, but I couldn’t shake the impression that the value proposition might eventually fizzle out as AI advances. Between the cold tone early on and that lingering doubt about the company’s direction, I didn’t get the sense this role would be a good match for me.

My process started with a line manager interview, then I met with an EMEA sales manager, and after that I sat down with a colleague. The early rounds felt straightforward and I got the sense they were trying to understand my experience and whether I’d fit the team. The interview itself leaned casual in tone, more about discussing where I’d been and what I’d done than about any kind of tricky assessment.
The one part that threw me off was the colleague round. That conversation felt less focused on my capacity for the job and more on whether I might be “a thread” to the team. I left feeling like the concern wasn’t about my ability so much as about how I might be perceived internally. Overall, even though some of the interviews were easygoing, that dynamic made the whole journey feel a bit uneasy by the end.
