After a recruiter outreach, I ended up with just two interviews. The first was virtual and fairly straightforward: I responded to questions that were provided in written form during the session. The second interview was a panel-style conversation with two people, and both interviewers came across as friendly enough.
By the end of the panel, though, I could tell the role wasn’t going to be the right fit for me. When the rejection came through, I honestly wasn’t surprised, and I was at peace with it. The experience felt low-pressure and polite overall, even if it didn’t turn into anything further for me.

Difficult Negative Istanbul
My process moved quickly into something pretty presentation-heavy. I had about an hour meeting with my line manager, and then they asked me to prepare a pitch presentation for a top executive for the next day. Even though the ask was clear, the timing and the way it was handled felt extremely unprofessional.
What stuck with me was the contrast between the effort required on short notice and how the process ended: it took around three months from those steps until I finally received a sorry message. No offer came out of it, but the bigger issue was that the coordination and communication didn’t feel respectful of the work they required from me.
