What is a Financial Analyst at Enviva?
As a Financial Analyst at Enviva, you play a critical role in driving the financial health and operational efficiency of the world’s largest producer of sustainable wood biomass. This position sits at the intersection of industrial manufacturing and corporate strategy, providing the financial insights necessary to optimize production across Enviva’s extensive network of wood pellet production plants and deep-water marine terminals. Your work directly impacts the company’s ability to deliver reliable, renewable energy solutions to global utility partners.
In this role, you are responsible for translating complex operational metrics into actionable financial strategies. Whether you are supporting a specific manufacturing facility, such as the production plants in Franklin, VA or Garysburg, NC, or working out of the corporate headquarters in Bethesda, MD, your analysis will guide decisions on capital expenditure, cost control, and inventory valuation. You will collaborate closely with plant managers, supply chain teams, and executive leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline budgeting processes.
What makes this role exceptionally rewarding—and challenging—is the scale and complexity of Enviva’s supply chain. You will analyze fluctuating raw material costs, logistics expenses, and production efficiencies under tight deadlines. To succeed, you must possess strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of cost accounting, and the resilience to navigate a fast-paced, highly autonomous environment where you are expected to deliver high-quality financial reporting with minimal supervision.
