What is a Project Manager?
A Project Manager at Accenture Federal Services (AFS) is the operational center of gravity for mission delivery. You translate complex federal requirements into executable plans, lead multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure outcomes land on time, on budget, and in compliance with stringent security and regulatory frameworks. Your work touches programs that matter—defense readiness, national security analytics, civilian services modernization, and healthcare platforms that millions rely on.
At AFS, PMs shape how solutions are designed, secured, and sustained. You will work across cloud modernization (AWS/Azure), security accreditation (ATO/RMF), enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), and mission applications. You’ll balance agile delivery with federal governance, orchestrate stakeholders from CISO organizations to mission owners, and maintain delivery rigor through controls, documentation, and continuous monitoring. This role is critical because it protects mission outcomes while enabling innovation within the realities of federal environments.
Expect to work closely with Security Architecture & Engineering, cloud engineering, data governance, and account leadership. You will own schedules, risk, communications, resourcing, and compliance artifacts; lead Security Reviews, shepherd applications through ATO, and manage change across contract vehicles and evolving mission needs. If you thrive at the intersection of technology, compliance, and team leadership, this role is both challenging and deeply rewarding.
