I went through a recruiter-led process that was fairly average in difficulty and time, but delays and scheduling/disorganization hurt the experience.

Recruiter call — A recruiter explained the interview process and discussed compensation expectations.
Coding challenge — A longer coding task (including cases where it was drawn out) scheduled before team rounds.
Team interviews — Multiple 45-minute sessions with the hiring team; everyone felt friendly, but the overall timeline dragged.
Additional panel/tech sessions — In a separate path, the process included a director-style basic technical conversation plus a larger coding exam and a senior engineering interview.
Logistics issues — Interviewers missed scheduled
