Xebia Software Engineer interview experience

I had a senior-level discussion where the questions came across as straightforward to the point of being “stupid,” and overall it didn’t feel demanding. During the process, the manager agreed to a particular package, so I felt like compensation had been handled.

But after the rounds were completed, the package got reduced. The explanation was that the company couldn’t afford it. That contradiction—agreement first, reduction later—ended up being the most memorable part of the experience, and it made the interview feel pointless despite how easy it was.
