My journey began with an application form, and then I moved into a HireVue one-way interview.

The assessment included numerical and pattern recognition questions, and the answers were evaluated by AI. There was very short preparation time, but once the prompt was shown I had a comparatively long amount of time to record my responses.

The short prep made it feel rushed right away, while the longer recording window meant I had to stay focused and structured for longer than I expected. It wasn’t interactive, and that made it harder to know how I was being interpreted. I didn’t end up getting selected, and overall it felt like a process built around timed cognition and quick thinking
