I had an unusually intensive, multi-round technical process where the main hurdle was very hard, time-boxed testing plus repeated technical screens from senior quant leaders.

Online test — Around 40 problems mixing probability, coding/pseudocode, and various math skills; questions were split into easier vs harder parts, with individual timing forcing rapid calculation.
Phone interviews (multiple, technical) — Several technical phone calls with researchers focusing on math/quant problem solving and details of my approach.
Senior interview sequence — Additional rounds with senior quant leadership (including VP/director in at least one journey) where the process felt extra careful and stretched over time.
Onsite / online test step — At least
