Bozeman, MTPosted May 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an internship-like entry path where a Java code review and then additional coding questions were central, and I was eventually declined after a positive technical showing.

Phone technical interview — a relatively easy phone-based technical round that I felt I aced.
Onsite (two-on-one) — Java code review where I explained criticism/pitfalls and then requirements; after that I answered two more technical questions where I had to write code.
Close-out — I later received an email declining to proceed, which ended up in a junk folder. Outcome: No offer, with the takeaway that being strong technically wasn’t enough given other factors they cited as possibly non-technical.
