Saskatoon, SKPosted Jul 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for an internship-like path where the technical focus was lighter than expected, and the session leaned into what I was interested in and how my experience compared to other interns.

Remote + local combined interview + office tour — part of the team was remote, so I interviewed with both local and remote groups; I also got an office tour.
Discussion-based technical questions — questions focused on technical topics that interested me and my understanding, plus digging into some obscure skills from my resume. They also asked basic questions about agile/iterative development. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the takeaway was that they were assessing motivation and breadth more than pure coding.
