The recruiter stage and the hiring manager stage both felt strangely easy, and the hiring manager interview in particular was short and didn’t feel engaged—there was one generic question to get things going, and then it almost seemed like I was left to carry the conversation. After that, the panel interviews were more in line with what I expected, but they were long.

I ended up receiving a standard form rejection. Looking back, it felt like my background might have been stronger than what they were looking for at the time, and I even made informal connections with hiring managers internally
