I had a single 30-minute phone interview that focused entirely on fit—no technical questions at all.

The conversation covered typical prompts like walking through my resume, why investment banking, and why they should hire me.

The process took longer than I expected, and ultimately I didn’t get an offer. It wasn’t a difficult interview from an academic standpoint, but the extended wait made it feel uncertain, especially since the screening itself didn’t give me a lot of signal about technical strength one way or the other.
