I got pulled into the process with the Enterprise-side team and ended up doing a pretty heavy new-business pitch.

They asked me to put a lot of effort into developing fresh ideas, and the pitch became the main work product they cared about. Once they had my ideas, the feedback phase felt oddly unresolved—I never got a clean yes or no.

After that, I followed up repeatedly, and the final message I received was that the role had been filled internally. It left the whole experience feeling frustrating: the pitch effort was real, but the communication afterward didn’t match how decisive the process seemed while they were evaluating my work.
