After an initial recruiter call, my first technical round was with senior data scientists.

That round revolved around discussion of my resume and projects, but with a clear emphasis on the technical implementation and the design choices behind them. I also ended up doing an easy DSA coding session at the end of that first round.

The second round dug further into the 1–2 projects most relevant to the team, and it included both more general ML questions and a medium-level coding assessment. The ML questions ranged across topics like random forests, transformers, xgboost, and even attention weight ideas, and I felt like I answered most of them solidly enough to move past the coding
