My experience with Version 1 felt unusually light on the technical side.

I ended up in a group-style interview where there were a few small tasks, but the whole point seemed more about personality, teamwork, and the overall vibe than deep coding or systems questions.

In another attempt, I had a casual chat with a handful of people where the technical piece was extremely basic—something I could answer just by speaking abstractly. That round felt like it was checking how I came across rather than whether I could do the job in a rigorous way.

I also ran into a case where the company effectively ghosted after an initial call and then later blamed salary expectations
