I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with a generally average difficulty, blending core software fundamentals, database/OOP concepts, and medium-style coding.

Technical screen / first round — I was asked basic OOP and core database concepts; after I mentioned DBMS, the interviewer went from basics toward more advanced DBMS questions.
Programming/problem-solving — I did 2–3 medium coding questions where correctness of logic mattered.
Follow-on technical depth — the questions stayed grounded in core CSE topics like databases and OOP concepts, with some practical problem solving. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer in the end, but I was confident the evaluation focused on fundamentals rather than esoteric topics.
