I interviewed in a sales-leadership style process with two distinct interviews and HR-led compensation discussions, and I didn’t end up with an offer.

Regional Senior Director interview (in person) — I met one-on-one with a senior technical sales services leader.
Country Director interview (phone) — I then spoke by phone with the country director.
HR + salary negotiation — After the two interviews, HR handled compensation negotiation. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that leadership/compensation conversations were a major part of the evaluation beyond coding.
