My first contact involved completing work before any real interview discussion.

They asked me to do a technical task ahead of time—one part involved writing or working with small C# applications using tooling like Selenium and command line, and the other part of the process focused on practical automation-style tasks.

In the version of the process I went through, I submitted answers and then waited. There was no real follow-up interview conversation after the pre-screen; communication felt minimal and I didn’t get meaningful feedback about what was acceptable or what wasn’t. Eventually I was rejected.

It was hard not to feel like it was mostly a pass/fail qualification
