San Francisco, CAPosted Aug 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I only made it through the phone screen.

The conversation felt quick and pretty positive while we were talking, and I walked away thinking it went well. Then the follow-up came back with a simple reason: they said I didn’t have enough experience.

It was especially disappointing because my resume had already been reviewed before I was invited to the phone screen. That step felt redundant, and the whole interaction ended without a deeper discussion that would explain the gap they saw. I left feeling like the process moved on too fast and didn’t fully reflect what they’d already indicated they could see about my background.
