University of Oxford Research Analyst interview experience

The format was all questions—first a brief self-introduction, then a longer stretch of detailed panel questioning where both my technical knowledge and my working style were on the table. Everything felt specific and targeted at how I’d actually do the job, not just general experience.

I was asked highly domain-specific questions, including how I would carry out particular research tasks, and the discussion dug into the reasoning behind my approach. In some parts, I also got asked to elaborate on how I’d work, how I’d handle the process, and how my background connected to what they needed.
