University of British Columbia Research Analyst interview experience

CanadaPosted Feb 2013 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview experience was a focused one-on-one with the professor.

It lasted around 30 minutes, and the conversation centered on two simple, practical themes: my relevant experience and what I expected from the job.

Because it was just me and the professor, it felt direct rather than drawn out. I left with the impression that they were using the time to quickly gauge whether my background matched the role and whether my expectations lined up with what the work would actually involve.
