My process included a presentation component right up front.

I was asked to prepare a short presentation on a safety-related topic, specifically centered on safety culture, and I only had two days to get it together.

After I presented to a panel of three people—two managers plus the person whose role I would be taking over—I went straight into a more traditional interview. It mixed technical questions with situational ones, and the entire interview session lasted about an hour. It felt demanding because the preparation window was tight, but the actual questioning flowed logically once the presentation was done.
