I went through an account executive recruiting process that started with a good recruiter conversation but ended with questionable testing and silence.

Recruiter screen — the recruiter engagement felt positive and genuinely interested at first.
Assessment/testing process — the screening included an “antiquated” testing approach that didn’t seem job-relevant and might not stand up if challenged.
Follow-through — I experienced ghosting and then an automated rejection email overnight. Outcome: Not selected, and the takeaway was that the combination of poor test relevance and lack of human follow-up was a red flag.
