San Jose, CAPosted Oct 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for the Account Executive role and found the recruiter stage confusing and unaligned, despite good rapport with the district manager.

District manager discovery + intro — A district manager reached out after seeing my background on LinkedIn and set up a conversation; we seemed to connect.
Recruiter interview (via assessment setup) — The recruiter interaction was less polished and felt off, with a monotone delivery and lack of clarity.
Timed assessment — I completed a lengthy assessment (about 40 minutes), which came after the recruiter step. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway was that even with strong direct-manager chemistry, the recruiter/assessment stage can be decisive.
