UBS Full Stack Engineer interview experience

Raleigh, NCCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had two separate UBS online assessments for a full stack Java developer role.

One assessment was mostly knowledge check style, with 15 multiple-choice questions. The second assessment shifted into hands-on problem solving: it included two Java problems plus a SQL question for the UBS bank context.

What stood out to me was how the format changed between the two tests. The first one was quick and reading-heavy, while the second demanded more focused problem solving across both Java and SQL, which made it feel like a more complete snapshot of what they expected.

I didn’t end up with an offer through this path, and honestly the SQL plus Java mix in the second assessment
