My first step was a recruiter screening that was surprisingly simple and very vibe-focused.

The recruiter started by briefing me on the role, and then the main question was basically to tell my story—nothing too deep or technical.

The tone was that if they liked the fit, they would move me forward to the next round; if they didn’t, they would close the loop after speaking to the hiring manager. I felt the “vibe” approach was clear throughout the conversation, even though it also meant there wasn’t much room for detailed argumentation. Ultimately, I didn’t advance, and I treated the process like a quick calibration rather than a multi-signal evaluation.
