I started with a very informal recruiter-style conversation where the interviewer came across as extremely casual, like the decision might’ve already been made.

The questions were the usual baseline topics—telling me about myself, walking through my current role, the challenges I’d faced recently, and how I overcame them.

Even though the tone was light, I still felt like it wasn’t much of a two-way evaluation and more of a checklist. The process didn’t end with an offer, and when I looked back, the casualness combined with the sense of being pre-judged left me with a pretty blunt impression of how the screen was run.
